Brian lived his life as a committed family man and servant of Christ. He developed an incredible memorisation of Scripture and his legacy will endure. Always willing to listen and had a wealth of wisdom and understanding. I am glad we will be reunited in eternity.

To Jenny and family, how sad we are at the loss of Brian. Our love goes out to you. May God comfort you and give you the strength to go on. Brian was a man of great faith who we looked up to and loved very much his wit and humor. The youth loved him when he served there. He always spoke from the heart. We will miss him but we know he is with the lord. Our hearts go out to you his family.
With all our love

Dear Jenny and family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of our dear brother in Christ Brian. I am so sorry for your loss but also just smiling at the thought of him with our Lord right now in glory and perfect joy.
I was blessed to be a part of a Bible study run by Brian years ago and his passion for the gospel and heart for the lost was such an encouragement.
I pray the God of all comfort will be very near to you all at this time and always.

Dear Jenny, Ron, Caelan, Jesiqua, Talika and Mackenzie.
He loved you all.
Brian had a huge capacity to love.
Jenny his wife of almost 51 years, he loved and cared for and so wanted to stay for you.<3
He also had a huge capacity for friendship, teaching from the Bible, and Counselling.
I was one of several who were at Brian’s Bible Study on Tuesday nights, over the last few years.
We were a group who needed to dig down and question, knowing Brian was the holder of all the relevant information.
It was nothing to digress each week and run over time, just so we had an acurate understanding.
We really loved our Brother our Teacher and our friend.
I am so very sad for you his family at his passing,
I Praise Jesus that He has taken Brian home!!

I’ve known Brian just a short time compared to many others but he certainly had an impact on me. I’ve had a few long conversations after church with Brian sharing about his life and what stood out to me was his perseverance and love of God. He is such an encouragement to me. Brian would come speak to the young people at the Pressy Youth Group in I think 2023 & 2024 when I was helping out and he just would light up as he spoke and the teens would intently listen. He will be very missed.

I didn’t know Brian for very long, but I remember coming to a church service for the first time a year ago and having the opportunity to talk to him. I loved his warmth, his openness, and his smile.
I can’t imagine what a loss this must be for the family, but I know very well that he is resting peacefully in God’s paradise. I am glad I had the opportunity to know him and I pray that we will meet again.
(1 Corinthians 15:54-56)
54 When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
55 “O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessing in Christ

I remember Brian when he and Jenny were coming to Nambucca years ago, I believe were just holidaying here and always had young Caelan with them. He showed a lot of fruit of The Holy Spirit not knowing then that he was a brother in Christ.
Then as he looked after Jenny as well later on. He would always show such joy in his outlook not complaining. How he supported Caelan and so did Caelan being all there for each other is such a blessing to see.
I thank God for Brian’s faith and walk with such integrity and love for his family and church and most importantly his love to serve God!

For Brian and Jenny
Many memories arise in our minds as we seek to write something that encompasses the last 50 years of friendship and fellowship. These thoughts and memories are for both Brian and Jenny as our friendship has always been with ‘Brian and Jenny’.
We are sad that we cannot be there in person but we are both in other parts of this world and hopefully able to connect to the celebration of Brian’s life via technology that was not in existence 50 years ago.
Where to start, well, it started in 1975 when Pam and I started attending Penrith Church of Christ, I forget now whether it was Brian or Jenny asked if we would like to meet up with them, obviously we said yes and that started an enduring friendship to this day.
We would meet for prayer and bible study on a weekly basis, go for bush walks, hot chocolates at ‘Aroney’s’ in Katoomba and the occasional holiday together. We were being discipled through friendship and Brian would ‘speak truth in love’ when I (Ian) did things that were dumb and stupid. He was like a big brother who would lovingly ‘kick my butt’ when necessary. Our kids grew up together and Pam and Jenny supported each other in the ways that mothers with ‘little kids do, so Brian and Jenny became ‘family’ for that season of our lives. We shared many of the ‘ups’ and ‘downs’, ‘joys and sorrows’ of life and we alway knew Brian and Jenny would be there for us when times were tough.
Saying ‘Thank you to Brian and to Jenny’ seems so inadequate and really is because they both chose to invest so much of their lives into this ‘young Pommy couple in Emu Plains’ who were new Christians and didn’t know one end of the Bible from t’other.
We’ll miss you Brian, we love you Jenny.
